Graphic designer in T. Nagar
Textile showrooms on Ranganathan Street, jewellers on Usman Road, wholesalers whose customers are other businesses. Retail here runs on volume and on festival seasons, and the design has to keep up with both.
Work I do most in this area
T. Nagar work is seasonal and fast. Most of it lands in the weeks before Diwali, Pongal and the wedding months.

Designing for a crowded street
On Ranganathan Street your poster competes with forty others, all shouting. Being louder is not available — everyone already is.
-
One number, enormous
The discount, the price or the date. Set it far larger than feels comfortable and cut everything competing with it.
-
Contrast beats colour
When every neighbour is red and yellow, a dark board with one bright element is what the eye lands on.
-
Tamil set properly
Not English typography with Tamil squeezed underneath. Both languages planned into the layout, weighted equally.
Questions from T. Nagar clients
Can you deliver in time for the festival rush?
Yes, if you tell me early. Diwali and Pongal weeks are booked out well in advance, so a message in the preceding month secures a slot. A single offer poster can still turn around in 24 to 48 hours.
Do you design in Tamil?
Yes, and properly — Tamil planned into the layout at the same weight as English, not squeezed in underneath afterwards. For retail here that is usually the difference between a poster that reads and one that does not.
We need the same offer on hoarding, standee and handout.
That is a campaign set, from ₹3,500. One message reframed for each format rather than the same file resized, because a hoarding read from a moving vehicle needs different proportions to a handout.
Can you work directly with our printer?
Yes, and I prefer to. Send me their contact and I supply files to their exact specification, then follow up on the proof so nothing is lost between us.
We are wholesale, not retail. Is this still relevant?
More so, if anything. Catalogues with clean code and pricing tables, plus a simple site buyers can check stock on, do more for wholesale than shopfront material ever will.
