What printing adds
Paid to the press, not to me. These are typical Chennai numbers so you can budget the whole job rather than half of it. Get a real quote before committing — paper prices move.
The jump from 250 to 1,000 copies is small because setup dominates the cost. If you expect to reprint within the year, printing more now is almost always cheaper than printing twice.

Whether the content exists
Finished copy and usable photographs mean the per-page rate holds. "We'll write it as we go" is the single most common reason a brochure takes six weeks instead of two, and the extra rounds get billed.

Repetition across pages
Twelve product pages sharing one layout cost less per page than twelve pages that each need their own structure. Tell me the page mix and the quote reflects it.

Photography and illustration
Retouching your existing images is included within reason. Stock licensing, a product shoot or custom diagrams are quoted separately because they are separate work.

A Tamil edition is roughly 60% of the original design fee. Tamil text runs longer than English, so the layout is rebuilt rather than swapped, and it is far cheaper if planned from the start.

Why is design charged per page?
Because that is what the work scales with. A 24-page catalogue is not four times a 6-page leaflet in effort, and the per-page rate keeps the maths honest in both directions rather than hiding a flat fee.
Does the price include printing?
No. You pay the press directly, which means you see the real cost instead of my markup on it. I supply the print-ready files and coordinate with your printer, or recommend one if you do not have a regular.
Do I need to write the content?
Yes, and it should be finished before design starts. I will tighten and restructure what you send, which usually means cutting it, but writing a company profile from scratch is a separate job and priced separately.
What if I need it in Tamil too?

How long does a brochure take?
Three days for a single sheet, a week for eight pages, two to three weeks for a full profile or catalogue. That clock starts when the copy and photographs arrive, not when the order is placed.
