Privacy policy
I'm a one-person design studio in Chennai. This site collects very little, and what it does collect exists so I can reply to you. Written plainly rather than as boilerplate.
The short version
- I collect what you type into the enquiry form, and nothing more.
- I do not sell, rent or share it with anyone for marketing.
- I do not add you to a mailing list. There isn't one.
- Ask me to delete your details and I will, the same day.
Who I am
This site belongs to Kavin Arulraj, a freelance graphic designer, web designer and video editor working in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. There is no company behind it and no staff — when you send an enquiry, I am the person who reads it.
For anything in this policy, I am the person responsible for the information you send, and the contact details at the end reach me directly.
What the enquiry form collects
The hire-me form asks for your name, business name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, budget range, deadline and a description of the work. All of it is optional except the name, phone, email and brief, which I need in order to reply with a quote.
It is sent to my email inbox. I do not run it through an analytics tool, a CRM or an advertising platform, and none of it is used to build a profile of you.
Why I keep it, and for how long
Enquiries stay in my inbox so I can reply and, if we work together, so I have the brief on record while the project runs. For clients, invoices and project correspondence are kept as long as Indian tax rules require me to keep business records.
Enquiries that never became projects get deleted when I clear old mail. If you would rather not wait for that, ask and I will remove yours immediately.
Files and material you send me
Logos, photographs, footage, copy and brand files sent for a project are stored on my computer and in my cloud drive, used only for that project, and never shown to anyone else without your permission.
If you would prefer the work never appears in my portfolio, tell me — I will sign an NDA on request, and some of my work is confidential for exactly this reason.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to see which pages people read and which searches bring them here, which is how I decide what to write next. It records approximate location, device type and pages visited — not names, and not anything you typed into a form.
If you would rather not be counted, browser privacy settings, an ad blocker or Google's own opt-out extension will all prevent it. Nothing on the site stops working as a result.
Cookies
The only cookies set here come from Google Analytics, and they exist to tell a returning visitor apart from a new one. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party marketing scripts.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. The site works exactly the same either way.
Other services involved
Practically, a few other companies handle your message in passing: my email provider, WhatsApp if you message there, and the web host that serves this site. Each has its own privacy terms and I have no more control over them than you do.
I do not use email marketing tools, lead-generation services or advertising retargeting, so your details are never uploaded anywhere for those purposes.
Your rights
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. You can also ask me to stop contacting you, which I will do immediately and without asking why.
I will not charge you for any of that and I will not ask you to fill in a form to request it. An email or a WhatsApp message is enough.
Changes to this policy
If what I collect or how I use it changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. I will not quietly broaden what I do with your information.
Contacting me about your data
To see what I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, message either of these. No formal process — just ask.
Ready when you are.
Send a brief and you'll get a scope, a price and a date back the same working day.
